The Art of a Letter

I take a watercolor kit and make sketches as I travel. Painting helps me notice little details while exploring new places.

Letters From Noah are entirely hand-crafted. There's nothing digital about them — except the final document to print at my local printshop. Even the text is a font of my own handwriting.

About Me

From childhood, I've been fascinated by maps, stamps, and adventure. My studies in biology and fine art led to a dream job, writing for National Geographic and giving international wildlife tours.

I've been to some far-flung places, often in search of wild birds. I have studied penguins in Antarctica, and in 2015 set a world record by finding 6,042 bird species across all seven continents in one calendar year.

I love all kinds of travel, especially the sights and sounds of nature, art, cuisine, and local culture at each destination.

The idea for Letters From Noah was partly inspired by my mom, who faithfully sends handwritten correspondence to friends and family. What a lovely way to keep in touch.
